Dante died in exile from Florence, and is buried in Ravenna. After his death, Florence realized its mistake and has a standing arrangement with the city of Ravenna to provide the oil for the eternal flame at his grave there... So this "tomb" doesn't really hold anyone, it's just a memorial to one of Florence's most famous sons.
